Taniwharau Culture Group

Taniwharau Culture Group was formed by Te Marae Paki, and the late Maaori Queen Te Arikinui Te Atairangikaahu.

The primary purpose for establishing Taniwharau Culture Group was to support Te Arikinui in her role as the head of the Kiingitanga, and later, to represent Waikato to compete in the Aotearoa Traditional Maaori and Polynesian Arts Festivals. These resources were created to celebrate Taniwharau Culture Group 50 years.
