Puuniu River Care Inc. (PRC) is an established marae-based river care organisation and a New Zealand registered charity. Established in 2015 by Shannon Te Huia (Ngaati Paretekawa, Ngaati Maniapoto), with the foundations laid supported by the four marae along the Puuniu Awa, including Mangatoatoa Paa, Raawhitiroa / Oowairaka Marae, Aotearoa Marae and Whakamaramara Marae. PRC has become a reputable organisation within the industry over the years. PRC has developed the skills and processes to a professional scale to become a native nursery plant supplier, with the capacity to grow over 700,000 high quality, unique and rare plants every year. Many of these plants, you can now also purchase through our online store for your own eco-friendly and bio-diverse gardening and farm projects. We also offering site prep, planting, maintenance and project management services.
