

Travelling from the north of Te Kauwhata, Pukerewa Marae is approximately 50.3km. Travelling from the south via Huntly is approximately 60.9km. The primary hapuu is Ngaati Tahinga of the tribal collective of Waikato. The main whare is named Te Taihauaauru. The marae connects to Tainui waka, Waikato awa and Taupiri maunga. Pukerewa Marae is located on a small block of land of its own but is entirely surrounded by the Pukerewa A Block. The marae is run by its own committee, and all shareholders of Pukerewa A Block are members of the marae.
