Paaraawera Marae (Te Taumata ki Paaraawera) is located 15 kms to the south-east of Te Awamutu.
The principal hapuu for this marae are Ngaati Ruru, Ngaati Waenganui and Ngaati Werokoko of Ngaati Raukawa. The wharenui is named Taane-i-rangi-kapua. The marae connects to Tainui waka, Waikato awa and Maungatautari maunga.
