Te Whakakitenga o Waikato Incorporated "tool kit" agreement for participants of Te Tomokanga

At its discretion, Te Whakakitenga o Waikato Incorporated ("we" or "us") provides participants of the Te Tomokanga programme with a "tool kit" to support them on their pathway. This agreement records the terms and conditions on which we will provide the "tool kit" to you and is valid for 12 months from the signed date.

If you do not provide the personal information as and when requested below, we may not be able to provide a "tool kit" to you.

Equipment/Tools information
We understand that each apprenticeship varies, therefore the tools required will vary also. This agreement acknowledges that up to the value of $1,500 (including GST) was provided to support the apprentice to purchase a tool kit.

Responsibilities
By signing this agreement, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:

– If your apprenticeship ends and/or is terminated within 12 months of signing this agreement, we may require that your "tool kit" be returned to us at 2 Bryce Street, Hamilton. Items must be returned in good condition (reasonable wear and tear is acceptable) within 14 days of your apprenticeship ending. If your "tool kit" is not returned within the 14-day period, we may require full reimbursement from you for the replacement cost of those tools.

– If any tools are damaged, stolen or lost within the first 12 months, we are not required to replace them.

– In agreeing to these terms and conditions and receiving the means to purchase the "tool kit," you authorise the use and release of your personal information so we can administer the Te Tomokanga "tool kit" programme (including for debt collection purposes). We will also share your personal information with our kaimahi, kaiako, contractors, and agents for these purposes.

We may also use the aggregated and anonymised data collected from your personal information to assist us with several purposes aimed at improving the services we provide by:
– Analysing trends and patterns to improve the quality and effectiveness of our programmes and services
– Assessing the needs of our tribal members and outcomes to inform decision-making and resource allocation
– Reporting to stakeholders and funders (if applicable), about the impact of our services while protecting individual privacy
– Supporting research and evaluating new initiatives designed to benefit tribal members
– Informing and shaping our organisational strategy to better service our tribal members

Your personal information may be stored or processed by our cloud service providers, including Salesforce, in locations outside New Zealand. These locations may have privacy protections that are different from New Zealand law.

Your personal information will be collected and held by Te Whakakitenga o Waikato Incorporated at 2 Bryce Street, Hamilton in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993.
