Te Tamawai Trust

Te Tamawai Trust is a charitable trust that breaks down barriers to provide personal growth and development opportunities to disadvantaged and deserving rangatahi.

There are two trading brands under Te Tamawai Trust;

1. The WaterBoy (www.thewaterboy.co.nz) supports people to give them opportunities to participate in sport.

2. Taku Wairua is a personal development kaupapa focusing on 4 pou – Belonging and Identity, Self Discovery, Goal Setting, and Citizenship

Within Taku Wairua, we have a program that supports rangatahi ages 15 – 19 who are not in school, work, or further training. We work with them every day four 5 months, developing life skills that are necessary to succeed in today's world. Ultimately we place these people into work at the end of the wananga.

The IP for Taku Wairua is ultimately owned by TRSN Ltd, which is owned in entirety by me, Thomas Nabbs. In theory I could charge the trust an annual fee for use of the Taku Wairua brand, but I chose not to do that as it goes against the spirit of what I am looking to achieve and would taint the generous support that gets given to the trust from all sectors of the community.
