Moo te tuunga | About the role

We are currently recruiting a full-time Executive Administrator to commence with Waikato Tainui on a full-time, permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to provide excellent secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and wider organisation.

Providing executive assistance and administration support to the SLT and/or team including but not limited to:

  • Coordinate staff meetings  including preparation of agenda
  • Take minutes of team meetings and distribute within the agreed timeframes
  • Locate relevant background material, briefing reports, profiles and information in preparation for meetings
  • Arrange travel (flights, taxis, rental cars and accommodation)
  • Arrange and organise functions, meetings, and workshops for the SLT including venues, catering and invitations
  • Support the administration team in relation to the development, monitoring, implementation and continual refreshing of operational processes, systems and procedures 

Ngaa puumanawatanga oou | What you will bring.

  • At least 5 years’ prior experience in an executive administration role, supporting teams within a medium and/or large organisation
  • Extensive knowledge of administrative practices
  • Experience in supporting projects/initiatives in an iwi or Maori context
  • Experience prioritising and managing workflows
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbal and written, with a diverse range of audiences both internal and external to the organisation
  • Sound knowledge of Waikato-Tainui and proficiency or developing proficiency in te reo Maori
