Moo te tuunga | About the role

Within the Business, the Gardener is responsible for improving the delivery of horticultural services to clients by maintaining designated areas contracted to Downer Ltd. The Gardener also undertakes project work contracted to Downer ensuring that a high quality, timely and planned service is delivered at all times. The Gardener plays an important role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships by consistently meeting contract specifications, timeframes, and quality standards. This includes taking pride in workmanship, demonstrating attention to detail, and contributing to a positive team environment.

Key requirements of the role include:

Weed control, vegetation & garden management, mowing, line trimming, edging across a variety of open spaces. The role may also involve the application of agrichemicals, including herbicides, in accordance with best practice, environmental guidelines, and all relevant health and safety requirements.
