Taiao Grant
The Taiao Grant aims to equip and empower tribal members to fulfil their role as Kaitiaki of their current and future environments.
The grant is awarded to projects that align to the Vision and Strategy for Waikato Awa and the objectives set out in the Waikato-Tainui Environmental Plan
The grant seeks to:
- Enable tribal members and marae to build capacity and practice kaitiakitanga through planning, developing and implementing their environmental aspirations.
- Empower tribal environmental practitioners to lead environmental projects and initiatives that meet marae and tribal aspirations.
