Te Kotahitanga marae is situated off the Tuakau Bridge–Port Waikato Road in Te Koohanga alongside the awa Waikato. The principal hapuu is Ngaati Tiipa of the Waikato confederation.
The wharenui is also named Te Kotahitanga, the wharekai is named Kawiti and the nearby papakaainga is named Kakinga. Te Kotahitanga connects to Tainui waka, the maunga Te Puke o Tahinga and to the awa Waikato.
