Rereteewhioi Marae is located in Waiuku on Taurangatira Road (off Awhitu Road) and is home to the hapuu of Ngaati Paretauaa of Waikato iwi.
The wharenui is named Arohanui, the wharekai is Te Iti o Waikato and the orator’s piruru (shelter) is called Wihere. Rereteewhioi Marae has connections to Taupiri maunga and to Waikato awa. Belonging to the greater waka collective of Tainui, Rereteewhioi Marae is guided by the speaking protocol of tuu atu, tuu mai.
