Taupiri Marae is located just under Taupiri maunga, 9 kms to the south of Raahui Pookeka (Huntly) and just north of Hopuhopu. The primary hapuu for this marae include Ngaati Kuiaarangi, Ngaati Mahuta, Ngaati Tai and Ngaati Whaawhaakia.
The wharenui is named Pani Ora. The marae connects to Tainui waka, Taupiri maunga and the Waikato awa.
