Poohara Marae is located 34 kms southeast of Cambridge, across the river from Arapuni. Its principal hapuu are Ngaati Korokii-Kahukura and Ngaati Mahuta.
The wharenui is Rangiaatea. Poohara marae ancestrally links to Tainui waka.
