Hamilton City Council Procurement Evening

WhenThursday 25 September 20255:00 pm – 7:00 pm

We’re excited to announce a joint kaupapa between Waikato-Tainui and Hamilton City Council (HCC) — a collaborative evening focused on deepening our relationships with local councils and the potential of actively participating, with an intentional focus on social procurement, this is a powerful tool to enable business equality, providing supplier diversity via Puna pakihi.

We’ve been working closely with Hamilton City Council to ensure iwi aspirations and tribal procurement pathways are embedded throughout their processes. This event is a tangible next step in that journey — and a chance to hear firsthand how the refreshed procurement policy is being put into action, and how it aligns with the values and commitments outlined in our Joint Management Agreement (JMA) and partnership accords.

Why This Matters

This event is about more than just procurement — it’s about partnership in action. It’s about creating systems that reflect our values, prioritise equity, and foster opportunities for Puna Pakihi  to participate meaningfully in our region’s economy. We know that when our pakihi thrive, so too do our whaanau and haapori.

Don’t miss out – this is your chance to be in the room where connections are made, opportunities are unlocked, and growth begins.

We look forward to seeing you there and continuing to grow this kaupapa together.
