Te Reo Kaakaho is a unique waananga reo tailored specifically to our tribal members.

Te Reo Kaakaho is a three-year waananga reo programme that aims to build fluency in Te Reo o Tainui for tribal members with little to moderate level of reo.

Waananga participants will strengthen their ability to koorero Maaori through unique activities relating to the Kiingitanga and te waka o Tainui.

2017 Waananga
Te Reo Kaakaho will be delivered over five waananga held at the Waikato-Tainui College for Research and Development as per the following dates and times:

  • Sunday 7 May, 8.30am – 4pm
  • Saturday 24 June, 8.30am – 4pm
  • Saturday 29 July, 8.30am – 4pm
  • Saturday 26 August 8.30am – 4pm
  • Saturday 30 September – Sunday 1 October, 8.30am – 4pm

The cost to participate is $21 per waananga reo, or $105 in total.

Please note: Te Reo Kaakaho requires commitment to attend 12 of the 15 waananga reo that will be held over three years (2017-2019).
